Guitar Pickups or Pedal?

Ok, I have a normal washburn steel string acustic guitar. I watched this video on youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZgJC7nTqoJE%26amp;f... It is called canon in d. I want to get that sort of sound. Now first of all what is a pickup and a pedal. What is the best type of pedal and/or pickup to get? WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK WOULD BE THE BEST PICKUP/ PEDAL TO GET THIS SOUND AND WHAT THE BEST QUALITY ONE IS.

There are 2 type of basic %26quot;Pickups%26quot; on guitars...one type is called a %26quot;SINGLE COIL%26quot; pickup...the second type is called a %26quot;HUMBUCKER%26quot; pickup. A HUMBUCKER is bascially


2 %26quot;SINGLE COIL%26quot; pickups connected together for a bigger sound overall. With a Humbucker pickup you get a more fatter %26amp; thicker tone to your guitar than with Single Coil pickup.





You use guitars with pickups %26amp; run them through guitar amps


to bring out their sound of the guitar. That is why there are %26quot;Acoustic/Electric guitars%26quot;...that are basically Acoustic guitars with pickups in them so you can play them through an amp.





2. A Pedal is what hook up your electric guitar thorugh and it changes the sound of your guitar while going through an amp.


There are different types of pedals effects for your guitar like:

2. %26quot;Chorus%26quot; pedals


3. %26quot;Flanger%26quot; pedals


4. %26quot;Delay%26quot; pedals


5. %26quot;Loop%26quot; pedals

Each pedal produces a certain sound or effect on your guitar.


Honeslty, you really have to experiment yourself to find

I%26#039;m more of a metal guitarist so I dont know what type of pickups or pedals he%26#039;s using he has on his guitar. But, I do know that Fishman %26amp; Dean Markley make high quality Acoustic Guitar Pickups....and they aren%26#039;t cheap either. Here are the links to see them
