for a beginner who wants to be a musician which should be instrument of choice...please give reasons

i personally think that the piano is much easier
Reply:I play both, and I think they are equally difficult to master. The guitar, however, gives one more freedom to create their own style, I think.
Reply:They say it is-- Who are they? I can teach people how to play the piano in 2 days. The guitar seems hard to me, cuz the srtings hurt my fingers. Once you learn the chord on piano or guitar- the rest is easy!
Reply:keyboard, it is much easier than guitar because you dont have to memorize tricky chords, you can always just harmonize by skipping a key on the keyboard
Reply:Learn keyboard, and then guitar. Then you%26#039;ll have very good knowledge of notation and theory. This makes it so much easier to play guitar.

opposite for piano

all the notes on the keyboard are right in front of you which makes it easier to learn





and keyboard doesnt give you calluses which makes it easier to play





but guitar is by far more fun

i learned how to play both around the same time


the music for gutair is written differently so i would say its easier, like easier to read


but it can take a lot of prectice to switch quicky so it flows and make it sound good


i can play some songs nice and switch but is still doesnt sound good because of the fingering i have to learn to do with the pick





the piano is hard and takes a lot of work


but once you learn how to read the music and use ur fingers well


it so much fun and you can play anthing





i think it isnt a question of which is easier. becasue every instrament is hard and takes a lot of practice





i think it is more a question of what you like better. which one feels better. what kinda person you are

Reply:I play piano, and I found out from different ppl, that if u learn to play piano/keyboard FIRST before anyother instrument, that it%26#039;s easier to learn the others... In my opinion I think that piano is one of, if not the hardest instrument to play, I learned to play when I was 5, and have been playing (of and on) for 8 years, by of and on, I mean that I did%26#039;nt play for a few weeks here and there. That%26#039;s just what me and a few other ppl say, on my dad%26#039;s side of the family (over 60 people, and that%26#039;s just aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents) all (I think) play atleast one instrument, and they all (I think) Play piano/keyboard, some play other things as well, but not before they learned piano! K, so this was alot, but I hope it helped!





P.S. my aunt is a piano teacher, so trust me.... not that she said any of this, but still!...
Reply:The guitar is one of the hardest instruments to learn. I taught myself piano and guitar when I was younger. The piano took way less time than the guitar did.

Reply:You should go with the instrument that you want to learn. How easy or difficult it is should not be a factor. Nothing worth doing well is easy.
Reply:If you really want to be a musician, then you need to learn music. You can take any instrument and learn music.. The question is, which route will be easiest for YOU. There are no %26quot;easy%26quot; instruments, but some will seem easier than others if you are enjoying yourself. Ask YOURSELF which instrument you%26#039;d really like to learn. I could tell you to learn the keyboard, but if you%26#039;re a guitar person, learning music will be a lot harder than it should be and you will most likely quit like 95% of everyone else who claims they %26quot;want to be a musician.%26quot;





So if you feel like learning the bass clarinet looks interesting, choose that. You can sound great with ANY instrument if you know what you%26#039;re doing.





But, if like the 95% group I mentioned before, you want to be a %26quot;musician%26quot; to look cool and pick up chicks, go with the guitar.
